Pendant tools are mounted tools on a spindle which fit into a pendant motor or micro motor.
These pendant accessories can be used for texturing, surface preparation and polishing. We will take you through what tools do what what job.
For a satin or brushed finish or a textured matt finish on jewellery look no further than our Roda Range of Roda Nywheels. They come in a huge range of shapes and grit grades.
Flick wheels are also an excellent way to add texture to your Jewellery

The Buffing Ball wheels have twice as much material and are tightly compact so form into a ball shape. They last much longer and can be used right the way round.
Our standard Nywheels are all made in our UK factory and only use the best quality non-woven materials.
F600 UFS Grey – These wheels give a very fine but bright satin finish.
M400 Green – This is the most ecomonic grade, made from clay. A good point to polish up from if using it to finish castings.
C180 CA for a soft satin finish
C120 HDMA for a nice heavy satin finish, it is quite abrasive so a light touch is needed
Flick pendant wheels or pendant frosting wheels are metal steel pins fixed into a hub. When using a micro motor or pendent drill the metal arms spin and flick, leaving even textured finish.
What metals can I use Flick wheels on?
flick wheels can be used on gold, silver. They will also be affective on harder metals too.
What finish to expect when using flick wheels?
These are often called Pendant Frosting wheels as they leave a shot blasted frosted appearance. Available in 3 Grades – So you can create your desired textured look.

What is unitized?
Unitized is a compresses and cooked non-woven scotchbrite product. It is very firm but excellent for cutting and leaving a very smooth clean finish. You can cheat with product and skip out grades. As it leaves such a good finish. you could polish from the finish.
What grade is right for me?
Fine – 3SF grey is perfect for the jewellery making industry. great on gold and silver.
Red medium – looking for something to work quick and cut well this is the one.
blue vortex coarse – for harder metals only. aluminium, steels etc. for you watch makers out there!

Which rubber pendant points are the best?
Elastic polishing points offer both hard and soft elastic. They are very popular with Jewellery as they have a sharp point which really keeps is shape. So perfect for getting in around details and stone settings.

Unitized points are a bit like roll sanders and are very handy for finishing inside rings. Quite coarse they are good for finishing castings and smoothing coarse file marks. Made in our factory.
MX points are excellent for harder and more unusual jewellery metals such as Titanium and Platinum. Offering lots of cut but a smooth finish.
Carbide burrs are a great alternative to traditional steel burrs for getting rid of burrs and for creating stone settings. Carbide burrs are longer lasting than standard burrs. Diamond burrs are really good for smoothing excess solder and are quite often used for engraving stone, glass and silver. Similarly pink points can be used but should only be used for small areas like this because they are very abrasive.
Our rubber points are very useful for smoothing pierced edges, sanding inside settings and these conical points are particularly good for getting into angles. They are pretty solid and last longer than silicone points. We shape these points in our factory
For a really texture satin finish similar to shot blasting flick wheels are excellent. Available for pendant motor and bench polisher.

Our Abrasive Products are made in-house in our Wiltshire factory. We make a wide range of polishing mops. The mop that you require depends on the stage of polishing you are at.
Use either cutting compound or polishing compound such as Menzerna P175 or rouge with these mops.
Use with fine finishing compound such as Menzerna P175, FF9 or Rouge.
The softest swansdown mops for finishing precious metals are Reflex, WHR, WDR. Use for a light final buff with Menzerna or rouge.
Chamois Mops are particularly good for polishing gold. Use with rouge or menzerna P175.
The WDR Mini Stitched mops are just as good for finishing as cutting. Though fairly solid they give a really high shine.
Also known as a wool mop, these are really the best mops for getting a high gloss finish on precious metal.
Soft grade Calico Mounted Mops are excellent for final finishing.

3M radial discs are a brilliant tool which range from small pendant motor mops to larger mops for bench polishers. No need for compound, they are clean and easy to use. Simplify your polishing process with these flexible bristle wheels.
Best used for very fine detailed work, the flexible legs get right into the nooks and crannies. The very finest grits give a gloss micron finish and 1 micron light green can even be used near harder stones.
19mm discs are the most popular size for jewellery and are best mounted on a 2.35mm screw top mandrel. Use 3 discs per mandrel for best results.
25mm 3M radial wheels are better for larger scale work, the grades are slightly coarser and the wheels themselves more rigid.
If using a bench polisher with tapers you can choose from larger wheels. 50mm and 75mm discs are particularly good when paired with the Foredom Bench Lathe use them with a plastic centre to mount them on the tapers.
For a larger bench polisher 6” (150mm) radial brushes are a good choice. Best suited to larger scale work to make best use of these mops.
