Vibro Waste Water System – Weir Tank
Vibro Waste Water System, a highly cost-effective solution when processing small quantities of effluent. Used to collect and separate effluent from a vibratory machine. Connect to the drain of the finishing machine.
If you are using ceramic or plastic media in a vibro process with water and FC120 liquid compound these are biodegradable products. However, the broken down media and metal fines which have been removed in the vibro process are not allowed to go straight to drain. (Different councils will have different waste water requirements).
The waste water settles out the sludge from the media break down and the metal fines and cleaner water moves over into three separate tanks. The tanks will require cleaning out at times – depending on the process you are running.

What is a settlement tank?
A settlement weir tank is a type of water treatment tank that removes suspended solids and other contaminants from water. The tank is typically rectangular in shape with several chambers. The first chamber is a settling chamber, where the water flows in and the suspended solids settle to the bottom. Finally, the settled solids are removed from the bottom of the tank periodically.
After the settling chamber is a weir chamber, which controls the flow rate of the water through the tank. The water level in the weir chamber is set at a specific height, which causes the water to flow over the weir and into the next chamber at a constant rate. This ensures that the settling process is optimized and that the water is evenly distributed throughout the tank.
The settlement weir tank is commonly used in wastewater treatment plants, industrial processes, and other applications where water quality must be maintained at a high level. By removing suspended solids and other contaminants, the tank helps to prevent environmental pollution and protect public health.
Vibro Waste Water System Process:
- Inflow: Firstly, wastewater enters the settlement tank through the inlet.
- Slow Flow: Once inside the tank, the flow of water slows down significantly. This allows suspended solids to settle to the bottom due to gravity.
- Sedimentation: Heavier particles, such as media sludge and metal fines, gradually settle to the bottom of the tank, forming a layer of sludge.
- Sludge Removal: Remove the accumulated sludge at the bottom of the tank periodically.
