The size is suitable for larger scale work in particular fabrication, foundry\/scultpture and engine components.<\/p>\n<h2>For Jewellers<\/h2>\n<p>These files are handy for larger scale work such as bangles and silversmithing. The coarser grades suit initial finishing and shaping. We would advise 400 grit upwards for precious metals. The foam backed abrasive is softer to use and contours a little for curved forms.
